About Mary Bryant McCourt- Author, Cancer Survivor, Founder of Achilles FREEDOM TEAM of Wounded Veterans, 11 time marathoner, active in community organizations and charities focused on helping those in need. In 2004, Mary founded the Achilles FREEDOM TEAM of Wounded Veterans which originated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.  Achilles is a mainstream running club for athletes with disabilities in marathons worldwide.
